I am a medical assistant with 15 years of experience. I have to say this is the worst medical care I have ever had. The fact that I am under an HMO should not be a reason to receive mediocre care. I have to wait 2 months for an appointment. I came in to the quick care on Rancho and the triage nurse was rude. They tried to put me in a room that was already taken, but had a blank space with no patient name on their white board. Now I've been checked in by 3 nurses asking me if the doctor has seen me yet? I'm not sure who is the person in charge here. But if we ran out office like this. It would really upset people.

I requested to have doctor roxana tejada to be my primary provider she treated me badly after just having cancer surgery.she made me feel like a drug attic no conpation what ever happend to the pattients needs .she was angry before we even spoke.like had a bad and took out on me. This happend 7 days after surgery dr. Pratt my surgen said take easy dont stress because your a diabetic take long for your cuts to heal.then this happpends my stoach hurts a lott from this anger I see my surgen dr.pratt11/16/15 I hope everything ok bad doctor no compation

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is DarShelle Lynch, I am overly dissatisfied with the service I have been receiving from South West Medical. I was in a car accident back in February and March of this year my insurance changed during that placing me with HPN meaning I have to deal with SWM. I have been in the office several times advising my pain and have been getting nothing but the run around. I am so frustrated and upset because I am in a great deal of pain I have no idea what is causing the pain. I came in back in March I first saw Dr. Ghoel who advised he would request my information from the hospitals for both accidents, he also told me I would be going to pain management, and therapy. 1 month went buy nothing was done no referrals were submitted. So I came back in and was assigned to Dr. Joslin which once again I re explained everything and he advised me of the something. Another month goes by, one thing happened physical therapy called me and told me they couldn’t work on me without actually knowing what’s going on with me. I then saw Dr. Joslin again, advised him of it and asked for a MRI he told me I am better off waiting to get into pain management because it can take a long time if he orders a MRI. Another moth goes by nothing done mind you still in pain just medication to ease it. I did a walk in and spoke to Nicole Hernandez explaining everything to her all over again. I also told her SWM sent me back to my old pain management on 5/18/2015 which would not see me because they do not take my insurance and SWM new that, but they still submitted it and set an appointment up. She advised me she would take care of everything and make sure things get submitted. I then send a E visit request which a lady by the name of Sandra says SMA pain management has denied your referral and suggest that you either go back to Centennial or we can refer you to another network provider.( Mind you I have stated several times Centennial does NOT accept HPN HMO) I called and was told I would get a call back, Days go by I get a call stating SMA has denied my referral for pain management due to verbal abuse. I appreciate the lady for being honest and finding out why, (name I believe was Susanna) I then wrote another E-Visit nothing done I requested corporate information and I get a call from Nicole Hernandez asking why? I explained to her why I was upset with the agent, she had a personal opinion about me being “***” I do have a witness. She then told me she would speak to them and have them call me.(never got a call) Instead days later I get a call saying a referral has been sent to another company and I will be able to schedule soon. I call the company and I am told they have no referral and to contact my provider they failed to submit paper work.(just like SMA advised to me as well before finding out the truth about being denied). I sent another E-visit in and then called Nicole spoke to so many different people so many different departments not able to reach Nicole. So I gave up for the day after 6hours. She then calls me the next day and advises me she spoke to the Pain management and Jennifer advised her because of the medication I receive they denied my referral. I then called and spoke to Jennifer who made it very clear to me that she never said that was the reason it was denied, she advised they don’t prescribe that medication. I told her I am just trying to get an MRI to see what’s wrong with me and why they pain is not getting better since my accidents. She told me you’re supposed to get an MRI first from your Primary Dr. Then they can submit the results to us and we can schedule you a visit. She advised Dr. Harris was under the impression your paper work that was submitted from your old Pain management said nothing was wrong with you from your previous visit. (Prior to my two new accidents) I then spoke to Nicole advised her what was told to me and she said she will submit for an MRI. I have received a letter in the mail and E visits advising me I may schedule an appointment with Steinberg. I have called them 3 times first I was told they have nothing for me, so I contacted SWM back and was told they are resubmitting it give about 10 minutes and I can call and reschedule 3 days went by I received an E-visit telling me I can call and schedule an appointment for my MRI for my neck? I wrote the now clinic Dr. Cho back advising him my neck? I made it very clear that I am experiencing pain in my mid back and spine. No response until a day later he sends me an E-visit message saying it has been submitted for my “upper spine” and cervical. I call Steinberg and they tell me a referral was sent to them on 6/24/15 for a left shoulder and my neck. They advised me not to make an appointment until my Primary dr. submits the correct MRI and if I advised the pain is in my back “mid back” then an MRI should be submitted for it. I have had multiple visits and calls and have been advising of the pain I am experiencing I just don’t understand what is the problem with SWM, I had a previous primary care dr. which unfortunately doesn’t take HPN HMO, I never had to deal with such unprofessional, incompetent, unorganized people ever. I pay co-pays to go see my Dr. just to get told basically you need to do all this on your own and I have been if it wasn’t for me taking the time out to figure out what to do who to call and more my account would be just sitting like it was incomplete. Every time I came in I had to re explain my visit, I am paying to address what was told to me from the previous visit. I have been so stressed out dealing with this on top of pain just too finally get an MRI scheduled and it is submitted for something that was never addressed wrong with me. I am highly upset. All I want is an MRI some treatment and to feel better. I have really exhausted myself and I am tired. I hope whomever reads this can HELP and assist. I am writing this as of my last straw for cry out help so whoever is reading this, you may think this is all over the place and not in a correct format, but to be honest I am just giving my experience so far with South West and this is how it has been.(all over the place).

I had a knee problem. Called appt. Line and could not see a dr. For 2 months ? Here it is sept. 2015 and no appts till november 2015. I set up an an appt at urgent care double price for the co pay $50.00. At 2225 civic center drive north las vegas NV and i was told on the phone that they had xrays and lab there they don't. Had to go to neliis center for lab and xrays. A bloody waste of time and driving there and gas money wasted. I saw a PA-C not a doctor for 50 bucks! Really? Knee hurts and he tells i may have gout, and stick a painful needle in my knee to withdraw fluid, there was none. I asked the appt line they can refer me to a specialist, answer was yes. So ok blood test and xrays ordered and i asked to see a specialist, PA-C SAYS OK I WILL ONLY AFTER I SEE THE XRAYS AND lab result. I week i waited for my xray and lab results had to pay 40.00 for xrays. I called the number on discharge sheet only to get appt line. i told them what happened and wanted to talk to PA-C I COULD NOT. Go figure. I wanted a referral to specialist, appt line person said no, i had to make another appt to see my pcp. i don't have one. I paid 106.00 for last visit xray, visit, and indomethacin 50mg. That give diarrea for the whole day, meds are gout and antinflammation. I don't have gout according to lab results and i knew that from the start. I talk to appt line and they set up a group doctor visit with 14 to 12 people at one at the flamingo office. Appt person never told me xfrom the start that this appt was a group thing. i ask for them to call the urgent care on civic center and let me talk to them, they switch me over there to speak to another people that is so rude and careless and i had to keep that appt. To get a referral to a specialist. i tell the whole story again and fet up with Leon and ask to speak to supervisor, KATHIE supervisor gets on and offer two solutions 1) say with group appt and get referral and 2) she will send a urgent message to civic center urgent care to get a referral to specialist and they should give me a phone call back in 24 hrs. Yeah right i ain't holding my breath and see to find out. I have done this before but never got nothing done. No phone call nor no referral to specialist. Just a bunch of money hungry corporations that always want more and more money for services that they never even follow through. Stay away from southwest medical associates!!!!

Impossible run around

Husband diagnosed recently with type 2 DIABETES resulting in taking Insulin. Doctor requests seeing him in 6 weeks to check his levels and to hopefully put him on a pill and take away insulin. SWM book 3 weeks in advance but then when you wait and call at the appropriate time to book an appt, for 3 more weeks ahead (your 6 weeks in all) you find the Doctor is now taking patients not the month you were told to come back, but the one after that. So a Sept appt turns into an October appointment which puts you way off the mark and way more than 6 weeks out. If his levels dive or soar you really kind of feel alone dealing with a new disease even though you pay good money to get the coverage and service one would expect, you feel like you are nothing and just being a number in a system that seems to be way over taxed. Really unsure about this company in that you are always fighting to get what you need when you need to be seen. It is frustrating and scary to think if you really have an urgent need you wont be seen by your Doctor so the only alternative would be to head to the hospital and then after you have paid the big bucks be scolded for not getting into your Doctor because it was not considered in their language as an Emergency. This health system is an emergency within. One tip told to me today make sure you book with the follow up Doctor requires when you leave the office. Do not let them tell you they don't book that far out, insist they do! Talk to your doctor before ending your visit to back you up for a 6 weekly check up or you may end up dead! Be prepared to take care of yourself as their hands are tied when you call in or try and book online. They can not do a thing about it.

Over a month ago my wife went to a doctors appt. And sprain her ankle getting out of the medical trans. ride. At that time a urine test was requested to see what she was on. She was on nothing but her prescribed medications. Unfortunately at the appt. she did not submit enough urine. A month later my wife went in for a seperate appt. And had an infection and asked for a test. She was not given a test. The new urine was submtted for the last appt. Therefore now she is sick for 2 weeks and needs to see a seperate doctor. What treatment.

My mother recently went in this clinic for pain management but unfortunately was greeted with nothing but unprofessional uncourteous attitude towards her complaint. Her doctor, Dr. Malone, stated that her pain was simply in her head and she just needed to "deal with it". Excuse me, but I myself am in the medical field l, and it does not take an "expert" to know that pain by definition is subjective to the PATIENT. It is whatever the patient says it is existing whenever they say it does. One does not simply have to "deal with pain" that is what proper assessment and medication is for. He was very rude and failed to realize that maybe her condition wasn't all made up seeing as even her vital signs were way above what they should have been (also an indicator of pain!). That doctor is, for lack of a better word, an *** if he thinks that just by tell someone to handle their own problems will actually help solve the issue. I was very disappointed in his care and wonder how he even obtain his position with his unsimpithizing unempathetic attitude. This is the last time I will be going to this clinic if this is the care your company chooses to portray to the people they're supposed to be helping.

11/17/14 time 12.00pm. I went to pick up my son's X-ray images . The receptionist was so rude when she was taking my son's information then she told me it will take 30minutes for the prints to be ready.i left to the parking as I left my son 14yrs in the car to tell him that I will be waiting. So I came back 20 minutes later and stayed there from 12.40 pm to 1.42pm waiting to be called but all in vain . She saw me come in and sit at the waiting area but didn't care to tell me the images were ready upfront at the reception. So I got tired and asked one of the radiology techs who went in to ask if it was ready . She came back with the cd only to tell me that it was upfront all this time . Can u believe that!this is the worst I have ever experienced . This is ridiculous.the receptionist saw me all this time and didn't say anything to me . She's the one who attended to me and knew I was waiting for the images. Nobody called me for the time I was waiting. I will never ever go there again . I d rather go to UMC they have respect for patients. Keep it up UMC quick care at rainbow and flamingo.

Takes forever to get an appointment, you have to plan one month in advance!

it takes a month or a month and a half to get an appointment there at any of the clinics to see your own PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN. So if you get sick, and want to see a doctor you can't, you have to go to either the clinic, and wait or if you lucky call that number and see if you can make an appointment, and if you do get there, you get to see a NURSE Assistant or doctor assistant who is NOT a doctor and pay a copay, and if you want to get a prescription, they will only give you one months supply, and you have to go and make another appointment to see your own doctor, one month away, to get more medicine, and another copay you have to put out. Totally ridiculous, all they want is the money! they don't give a *** about you or your health condition, and what you need to maintain your healthly lifestyle. Don't go to southwest medical associates, they don't care about you or your family. get more doctors southwest medical associates!

Poorest Patient Care I Have Ever Seen

Have only been with SW for 2 months. Of the prescriptions sent by my physician, two were never received by the pharmacy and took over a week to get that taken care of with MULTIPLE phone calls and messages, and of course they NEVER return your calls. The third prescription was discussed thoroughly with the Doc at my appt, and the increase thereof, and of course, he sent the old prescription. Took a week and multiple calls to straighten out that one too. Sent to another doc for a referral, saw him last Friday and he gave a diagnosis and said he was sending two prescriptions to my pharmacy. One was never sent, their central scheduling stated he never issued the prescription, and the other prescription, the pharmacy does not have and the pharmacy has been trying to contact him since last Friday, 4 days. No response. I left messages, no response, I sent an "E-Visit telling him of the problem. They are suppose to respond after 24 hours. No response and it has been 48 hours. The other referral I had has been lost, I have the paper, their scheduling dept does not have it, and it has been 10 days, and they have no response from doc. Another referral? Has been in "More Information Requested from Provided" since last Tuesday, 7 days. Really? I had to change to HPN because of my insurance; thought they would be good since they offer so many services.... WRONG. As soon as I get several health issues that are "already in progress," I will be finding another doc and clinic. At every turn, you rarely talk to person without being on hold forever, you can never talk to the clinic you attend, only leave messages through central scheduling, and med asst's never return the call, nor resolve the situation for DAYS. Couple days I can understand.....5 days, 6 and 7 days. Absolutely ridiculous!! I will be sure to tell everyone I know about the poor patient care, and doctors and staff who do not care whatsoever about their patients. Pissed OFF

I hate these awful ! ! People they don't give a rats $@s!! About nobody... There head is up there butt... They think there better then you.. They sit on there *** and do nothing all day while getting paid .. And give you the run around . Why is this business still running .... I don't understand ..... If anybody has insurance with swm do not go with these *** Especially with the endocronolist department . Do not go with theses people .... It's a needle in a hey stack to find a "good" doctor.. Waste of time &. Money... I'm so upset :( :(

Southwest Medical Assoc employees are braindead. Talked to some *** straight off the boat from india. He asked name & date of birth. I spelled out my name and gave him my DOB. on hold for approx 45 sec and he replies with "are you sure thats your last name?" WTF!? are you kidding me!? Ive had the same last ... And first... name for the last 35 years! I fairly confident I spelled it out to you correctly. Beyond *** people you must talk to when making an appt. This only one of five horror stories from these baffons. SW medical is the WORST. Your also on hold so long (at least 28 mins EVERYTIME you call).
